Tucked away in 20 acres of a flourishing garden-like setting on tiny Harbour Island is the legendary Pink Sands Resort. Private winding palm-shaded paths meander their way through lush rambling gardens full of flowering hibiscus, frangipani, and fruit trees, leading to 27 exquisite one-story luxury cottages, villas and homes. Each one is characterized by a British Colonial, old Bahamas aesthetic with a beachy feel, modern amenities, and first-class service. We grow a lot of our own fresh fruit, vegetables, and herbs in an organic garden right here on the property, which then make their way to your plate at our iconic restaurants.

Job Description

This position functions as the primary, strategic business leader of the Pink Sands Resort, responsible for all aspects of the operation, including guest and associate satisfaction, financial performance, sales and revenue generation intended to deliver a return on investment to ownership. The Resort Manager leads a team in the development and implementation of property-wide strategies and ensures implementation of brand service strategy and initiatives, with the objective of meeting or exceeding guest expectations.  This position reports to General Manager.

Job Responsibilities

  • All aspects of Resort Operations to include, Front Office Operations, Housekeeping Operations, F&B Operations and Engineering/Grounds/Security Operations.
  • Guest Communications – Written & Verbal
  • Upholding resort operational standards
  • Guest Services
  • Public & Guest Relations Skills.
  • Training Skills, coaching and mentoring.
  • Revenue Management
  • Financial Reports & Daily Balance Audit

Qualification

  • A Four Year Degree preferably in Business/Hospitality Management.
  • 10 Year Experience in Hospitality Leadership Roles.
  • Strong background in Food & Beverage Preferred; additional experience in Rooms division a plus.
  • Experience in luxury, boutique resorts .
  • Computer Skills – Excel, RoomMaster, QuickBooks, RevPar Guru, Expedia.
  • Good understanding of Social Media Channels – Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook, TripAdvisor, Twitter
  • Quality Assurance Performance – Service Standards.
  • Communication Skills – Must be able to read, write and verbally communicate effectively and professionally in English with Team Members, Guests, Resort Management and with Ownership.
  • Fluency in multiple languages a plus.
  • Finance Skills – Standards of Financial Performance.
  • Actively participate in budget process.
  • Accurate forecasting for optimal staff and supply levels and at he same time maximizing profitability.
