HVAC Supervisor

Job Description

The HVAC Supervisor Directs employees on the day to day operations in the A/C shop on the AUTEC project.
Responsibilities:

HVAC Supervisor Directs employees on the day to day operations in the A/C shop on the AUTEC project.
Air conditioning and refrigeration mechanic supervises up to 10 US and Host nation skilled trades workers.
Specific responsibilities include the development and then implementation of facilities maintenance preventative maintenance tasks and schedules.
Reports directly to the Facilities Maintenance Manager.
Organizes workforce to performance maintenance activities and supports minor construction projects in the most efficient manner.
Inventory of all A/C equipment and tools for your shop.
Timesheet tracking of all employee’s in your shop.
Working Supervisor in field and required to repair or pm all A/C equipment.
Required to carry pager/shared with shop employees.
Willing to work overtime when needed.
Must have the ability to work close with other shop Supervisors to plan and complete.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED equivalent.
Additional technical schooling from any of the major HVAC manufactures desired.
5 or more year’s background and knowledge of respective field. EPA certification for refrigerant recovery required. Experience with DDC controls desired.
Knowledge of Back Net and Iview control systems, chiller experience of up to 150 tons capacity, Trane and Carrier systems preferred.
Additional technical schooling from any of the major HVAC manufactures desired.
Experience with Maximo a plus. Prior experience with US Navy Facility maintenance procedures and or experience as a construction Superintendent a plus.
Ability to obtain and maintain government driver’s permit.
Valid Driver’s License and US passport will be required. This position requires the individual to be eligible to obtain a US Government security clearance; US Citizenship is required.
The ability to read and interpret operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Computer literate in MS Office.
Must be flexible and innovative to solve problems that may not follow a specific process. Involves customer service skills to resolve issues.
Must have the ability to climb ladders, in and out of utility trenches and access confined spaces such as manholes.
Frequently lifts, carries, pushes and pulls up to 50 pounds.
Mobility on sand and rough terrain to supervise activities.
Must be able to reside in remote location with limited medical facilities.
This position requires the individual to be eligible to obtain a US Government security clearance; US Citizenship is required
