Urgo Hotels & Resorts seeks an experienced hotel sales & marketing leader to join our growing company in Nassau! 

The Sunset Resort Bahamas, in downtown Nassau overlooking Nassau Harbor and Junkanoo Beach, will join our family of managed hotels in early 2016.  Currently operating with 118-guest rooms, the resort will rebrand to Courtyard by Marriott and offer 201-guest rooms, two swimming pools, ample meeting and event space, beach access, and multiple F&B outlets once renovation is completed this spring.

We are currently interviewing for an experienced hotel Director of Sales & Marketing to lead the sales effort of the hotel.  Sales leadership responsibilities include leading and managing all pre-opening sales and marketing activities; promoting our new hotel to conferences, groups, and weddings to create inspired experiences for guests and clients; prospecting and generating new business; leading the sales and catering staff; developing and administering a marketing plan to achieve the highest revenues and occupancies.  This position will be based in Nassau.

Requirements:

• Pre-opening hotel experience preferred.
• Resort hotel Director of Sales experience required.
• Direct sales, group sales, and catering sales experience required.
• Achieve pre-opening budgets and goals; secure future business that will meet or exceed rate and occupancy goals.
• Ability to work cohesively with other hotel departments and associates.
• Ensure Brand and Company standards are achieved.
• Hire, train and manage sales and catering sales teams.
• Develop and manage department budget.
• Develop / support revenue management strategies.
• Proficient in Excel and Power Point a plus.
