Job Summary

The Director of Human Resources will be accountable for talent acquisition, succession/workforce planning, performance management and development of associates, coaching/developing others to help influence and execute Divisional and Company business objectives in the most efficient manner. He/she will create a strong management team to develop and manage the food and beverage team of approximately 3000 employees with strong union representation. The position will focus on providing programs and initiatives which will drive the delivery of exceptional customer service outcomes for improved guest satisfaction. The Director works with considerable independence, developing processes to accomplish goals in alignment with broader business objectives. Additionally, the position will utilize Human Resource strategies aligned with property and brand strategies to deliver HR services that enable business success. The successful candidate will drive and support training initiatives for improved Manager effectiveness and will continually reinforce positive employee relations concepts. The Director will be the Human Resources reference point for employee-related requests and needs and further serves as a Division resource on employee relations questions and issues.

Requirements

Minimum of a Bachelor¿s degree in business, Human resources and/or related discipline
A minimum of two years experience in Human Resources management
A strong working knowledge of labor law, compliance regulations and functional human resources
Ability to objectively coach employees and managers through complex, difficult and emotional issues
Must have verifiable success in being proactive and responsive to changing priorities
Must be willing to work under pressure, manage multiple matters simultaneously, and be deadline driven
Must possess strong analytical skills, organizational skills and manage projects effectively
Must have strong leadership capabilities, interpersonal skills and sound decision making skills
Good presentation skills
Must be able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Excellent technology skills: Microsoft office ¿ word, power point, project, excel and human resources systems knowledge
Business acumen with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Willing to work flexible and long hours from time to time
