Description of Responsibilities

Baha Mar Casino’s Cage Cashier will be responsible for performing a wide variety of monetary transactions for the guest from the casino cage, safeguarding assets by ensuring all distinguishing job duties are performed according to established Baha Mar policies and procedures. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Provide dynamic services to ensure guests are “wowed” by Baha Mar’s hospitality
• Cash all types of checks for patrons within the specified guideline; record all checks cashed in the specified computer system
• Ensure the integrity of the casino finance operation, maintaining compliance with the incompatibility rule
• Receive and return impress amount of cash and cash equivalents to opening impress amount at the end of shift
• Maintain security and accountability over all funds including cash advances, front money, gaming chips, jackpot payouts, markers, personal checks, foreign currencies and slot vouchers
• Redeem chips/tokens/tickets for patrons
• Prepare bank deposits and marker transmittals
• Maintain the casino chip inventory and table float inventory
• Ensure customer satisfaction by maintaining confidentiality and communicating in a friendly and positive manner
• Process Front Money Applications
• Post and balance all gaming activity during a designated shift
• Verify and receive cash for all casino drops Tables Games, Slots, Sport/Race Book
• Secure and document all recordable transactions made with company assets
• Light work – Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and /or 10 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects
• Ability to stand during entire shift
• Flexible and long hours required
• Stay current on new legislation and requirements
• Perform other duties as assigned
