Baha Mar’s Benefits Manager will work together with the Director of Compensation and Benefits in implementing and sustaining benefits policies, processes and ensuring compliance with Bahamian regulations.

What you will also have already accomplished:

• College Degree in Business, Hospitality, or Related field preferred
• 5 years+ of management experience in HR and Benefits or Insurance

Description of Responsibilities

Baha Mar’s Benefits Manager will work together with the Director of Compensation and Benefits in implementing and sustaining benefits policies, processes and ensuring compliance with Bahamian regulations.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Develop, design, implement, communicate and administer benefits programs aligned with Baha Mar brand and culture
• Clearly communicate benefit policies, eligibility and enrollment procedures to employees, management, vendors, legal and administrators
• Identify trends to ensure benefits are competitive to attract and retain employees
• Ensure timely, complete and accurate benefits plan documentation by working with HR team, carriers and legal department
• Oversee and streamline process for benefit enrollments
• Oversee maintenance of a reliable information source on benefits and procedures in HRIS system
• Research, resolve and respond to benefits questions from team members, management and vendors
• Create and direct activities related to group health, life, dental, vision and other insurance programs
• Foster close relationships with payroll and information technology departments
• Resolve all benefit issues by liaising with insurance carriers
• Oversee auditing and reconciliation of premium billings
• Report month-over-month data and year-over-year-data
• Manage vendor relationships
• Extensive understanding of current benefit programs
• Knowledge of and compliance to all applicable laws and regulations
• Manage Benefits Specialist and Human Resources (HR) Concierge
• Familiarity with local market and competitive offerings
• Perform other duties as assigned
