JOB DESCRIPTION: Bartender/Barman

Duties

1. Engage in pleasant interaction with customers
2. Take orders for drinks and food items and up-sell menu items when possible
3. Record orders accurately into POS system
4. Check identification of the guest to make sure they meet age requirements for purchase of alcohol
5. Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
6. Mix drinks, cocktails and other bar beverages as ordered and in compliance with company standards
7. Keep the bar counter and work area neat and clean at all times
8. Perform physical activities such as lifting and stooping when necessary
9. Collect payment for drinks served and balance all receipts
10. Balance the cash register at the start and close of each shift
11. Prepare inventory or purchase requisitions as needed to replenish supplies
12. Ensure that the assigned bar area is fully equipped with tools and products needed for mixing beverages and serving guests.
13. Comply with all food and beverage regulations
14. All other duties as required

Requirements

• Current health certificates needed for both roles
• Minimum of 3 years of Food and Beverage Experience
• Hotel experience is a plus but not mandatory
• Must have pleasant personality and exceptional level of professionalism
